Acting & Stunts

While faith, family, and martial arts remain central to Piet Wilhelm's life, he has always been drawn to adventure, challenge, and experiences that push him beyond his comfort zone. Whether it's firearms training, motorcycles, swimming, scuba diving, skydiving, or jumping from helicopters, Piet has never been one to shy away from calculated risk. Many of these passions were influenced by his time in the United States Marine Corps, where he developed an appreciation for discipline, preparation, and operating in high-pressure environments.

Some might describe him as an adrenaline junkie—and there is probably some truth to that.

Piet's introduction to the entertainment industry happened unexpectedly. After coming across a casting call seeking motorcycle riders for an upcoming film project, he decided to submit an application. Although he was selected for the role, the scene was ultimately canceled due to weather conditions. While the opportunity itself didn't materialize, it opened a new door. Having entered the casting system, Piet began receiving notifications for future productions and opportunities within the film industry.

Looking for something different from his normal day-to-day routine, Piet later applied to work as a background actor on the television series "The Lowdown." What began as a simple opportunity to experience a film set quickly became something more. During the production, he developed friendships with members of the stunt team, who recognized that his military background, martial arts experience, and comfort in physically demanding environments translated naturally to stunt work.

Those relationships led to an invitation to work on another project, "Horrified," where he had the opportunity to perform stunt work and gain firsthand experience in a new aspect of the industry. The transition felt natural, combining many of the skills he had developed throughout his life—from martial arts and physical conditioning to situational awareness, discipline, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Although still relatively new to the entertainment industry, Piet has embraced the learning process with the same mindset that has guided him through martial arts, military service, and business ownership: remain humble, work hard, build relationships, and continuously improve.

Currently a SAG-E (Screen Actors Guild Eligible) performer, Piet is actively exploring opportunities in both acting and stunt work. With a unique combination of military experience, martial arts expertise, firearms proficiency, motorcycle riding, and a willingness to take on physical challenges, he brings an authentic presence to action-oriented productions.

For Piet, the journey into film and television represents more than just another profession—it is an opportunity to learn, grow, and challenge himself in a completely different arena. While he does not know exactly where the path will lead, he is excited to continue developing his skills, building relationships within the industry, and seeing what opportunities lie ahead.

As with every chapter of his life, Piet approaches this new adventure with gratitude, curiosity, and a commitment to giving his best effort both in front of the camera and behind the scenes.
